So HPE has option part number, spare part number and assembly part number.
Option part number is what is used for you to order memory, be it off the shelve or as part of a factory configuration
Spare part number is what is used to order replacement parts when something fails, be it self repair or on-site service
Assembly number is what iLO reports about the installed memory. This is also in AHS.
HPE has a ProLiant DL series and a ProLiant DX series. DX are Nutenix system, which as far I can tell are technically the same as DL but are specific configured or preloaded with Nutenix.
Yet someone in HPE decided it is a good thing to use different option and assembly part number for DL vs DX:
- HPE ProLiant DL 560 Gen10 Server
* Load Reduced DIMMs (LRDIMMs)
- HPE 64GB (1x64GB) Quad Rank x4 DDR4-2933 CAS-21-21-21 Load Reduced Smart Memory Kit
- Option Part Number P00926-B21
- Spare Part Number P06190-001
- Assembly Part Number P03054-091
- HPE 128GB (1x128GB) Quad Rank x4 DDR4-2933 CAS-24-21-21 Load Reduced Smart Memory Kit
- Option Part Number P11040-B21
- Spare Part Number P19402-001
- Assembly Part Number P11057-1A1
- HPE ProLiant DX560 Gen10 Server
* Load Reduced DIMMs (LRDIMMs) for 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Series
- HPE DX 64GB (1x64GB) Quad Rank x4 DDR4-2933 CAS-21-21-21 Load Reduced Smart FIO Memory Kit
- Option Part Number P18451-B21
- Spare Part Number P06190-001
- Assembly Part Number P03054-091
- HPE DX 128GB (1x128GB) Quad Rank x4 DDR4-2933 CAS-24-21-21 Load Reduced Smart FIO Memory Kit
- Option Part Number P18454-B21
- Spare Part Number P19402-001
- Assembly Part Number P11057-0A1
Above is pulled from https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-a00036896en_us#N11E9F but I only included the particular DIMMs I have experience in our own systems.
As you see the description is almost identicial, the DX series has only added "DX" to the description. You will notice that the Option part number is different in case of the 128GB DIMMs and the Assembly part number is almost identical but it is -1A1 vs -0A1. The spare part number however is the same.
If you use the P11057-0A1 Assembly part number and search on Partsurfer.hpe.com you will find that it will list it, but it doesn't show any functional equivalents nor where used information. The same is true for P11057-1A1.
So the problem we have run into is that the factory for the last 10 months has installed the DX 128GB DIMMs into our DL Gen10 servers. The contract reflect the Option part number as listed above. This Option part number on the contract is used to stock the depot for 6h CTR. But when we had a DIMM fail the depot had no stock as the DIMMs we have come up as P11057-0A1 instead of P11057-1A1.
When CSC searched for a Spare part number for P11057-0A1 they came up with a Spare part number of P16001-001, which while it has the same description as P19402-001, it isn't something which HPE seems to stock anywhere in the US or Canada. P16001-001 seems to be used in SimpliVity, so I don't know how they got to that for a DL server.
I am really frustrated with HPE and really would like to understand the though process of why having different Option and Assembly part number for DL versus DX and why the factory would install the DX version in a DL server? And no, this is not a single case, but all our DL Gen10 for the last 10 or so months, this includes DL360, DL560 and DL560 Gen10 where we use 128GB DIMMs.

Google Translated:
After the second drive is created, the drive can no longer be created. Both ACU and orca have tried, but the third logical drive cannot be created. There are 4 hard drives in total. 3 hard disks. After creating any 2 hard disks, there is no button to create a drive for the third hard disk. Is it a permission problem or I didn’t operate it right?
Morning all.
I have an ML350 G8 which currentlly has 3 450GB drives configured into a raid 5 array. I would like to increase the second logical drive by 250 GB .Are there any drive configuration utilities I can use to check how many additonal disks may be required for this? Also will I need to delete and recreate the secondary drive or could I just expand the drive once the additonal drive is added to the raid 5 array?
Thanks for the help
Andrew
Have a server DL380 G9 with 6 x 600GB SAS 15K 2,5" disks.
There is one logical drive. This is configured as a RAID 1+0 (3 x 600GB mirrored) and we wish to expand this array by 2 drives and extend the logical drive.
Accelerator cache is 2GB and Batttery OK.
I am trying to find out whether this can be done online with the ACU ensuring there is no loss of data (As this is a production server) with a defintive procedure. I have send this dones with RAID 6 and ADG but never with RAID 10 (1+0). Would love to hear off any guys out there with experience of this or HP techs

Please Help
I upgrade my ml110 g9 server with a set rps power kit and two 750w power supply, to replace my 350W power supply unit. But it not like my gen10 system, after I install new RPS kits , it doesn't show power meter function in iLO page. I try install one or two 750w Power supply states is OK .it show Power Cap in not support.
Hallo zusammen,
Hi,
I want to add one 600GB SAS disk to my DL360 Gen 10 server.
I don't want to set up a RAID array.
My question is why do I need a RAID controller? Is it possible to connect my disk to the motherboard?
Thanks
Hello, The server is off and when I try to turn it on the Insight Display LED's flashing Red and nothing happens. I have the ILO access and in the IML there is a critical error with the following detail: System Power Fault Detected (XR: 28 A2 MID: FF 4D FC 01 FC FF FF 07 07 00 00 01 85 00 00 00 00 A7 02 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00) is there anyone here to know what does that meaning? and how can I decode this error to understand what is the problem?

Hi,
I've an issue with the firmware of a power supply in a DL380 Gen 10 server with ESXi 6.7 installed. The firmware packages are only available for Windows and Linux.
Anyone knows how to upgrade the power supply firmware on an ESXi server?
Regards
I relize this is not a new problem, but it's unsolvable without at least a minimal HPE help. I know HPE may not want to officially want to engage in support for MS G8 as we have G10 & G10+ but seeing as iLO4 updates are still realsed I'm writing here in a hope that someone with insider's knowledge can help.
Cutting to the chase:
- PCI passthru is impossible on Linux-based systems for any device while working perfectly in ESXi even for built-in Smart Array controller
- Linux throws "DMAR: Device is ineligible for IOMMU domain attach due to platform RMRR requirement. Contact your platform vendor." as iLO reports all device's memory as protected
- HPE published advisory recommending connrep disabling RMRR for physical PCI slots but unfortunately while Microserver Gen8 is affected, the method doesn't work for it, and it only applies to 3rd-party devices in a slot and not to e.g. built-in ethernets or P120i
Workarounds:
- Community tried hacking Linux kernel removing RMRDS / RMRR check which appears to work, but only HPE knows what implications this may have (i.e. we cannot be sure if iLO is just reserving these regions for monitoring tools "just-in-case" or actively doing something with them)
- The advisory specifies "fix" for physical PCI slots, but for example P120i doesn't have such designation. I tried putting 0xFF in NVRAM 0x26A and 0x26B in a hope that engineers maybe used different undocummented masks for internal PCIe but it obviously doesn't work.
- Final workaround: using ESXi. As it's propriatary we don't know what is it doing that makes PCI passthru work (maybe it's just YOLOing the DMA and ignoring RMRDS / RMRR all together?)
Help needed:
While I relize this is a community forum I know people from HPE and isnide contacts are reading and responding. I hope that HPE can just provide an access/information about a flag which can disable "HP Shared Memory" / RMRDS / RMRR for internal devices as it's definitelly safe to do so if ESXi is doing this.
Hello,
I am trying to install windows server 2000, I started from the Smarstart 7.0 cd-rom ... everything went well by inserting the cd-rom of the windows server 2000 installation, once everything is loaded I get this error.
"IDE CD-ROM <ATAPI 1.2> / PCI Controller"
Can someone help me?
Hello
I would like to know the End of Support dates for the following products:
ProLiant BL460c Gen6
ProLiant BL460c Gen7
ProLiant BL460c Gen8
ProLiant BL660c Gen8
ProLiant DL380 Gen7
ProLiant DL380p Gen8
Also, do you have a support page where I could check for the EOL/EOS details?
Hello there,
Got 3 pcs of HPE Proliang DL360 G9 with P440ar RAID controller. Set up 2 RAID arrays on each of them. Firts 2 servers works fine, but third one doesn't show RAID in boot menu and can't boot from it. However, it can bee reached and set up via Smart Provisioning --> Smart Storage Admin. And also it is popssible to install an OS on it but can't boot from it - no such options in BIOS/UEFI settings, even in OneTimeBoot.
Tried a lot of stuff (reset, loaded BIOS defaults, checked cables and so on...) but still the same...
Any ideas would be very appriciated.
Thanx a lot.
Is there any link where I can get the EOL/EOSL for all HPE 3PAR storages?
