Hello guys, i am setting an HPE Proliant gen 10 server, first time in doin it i have install UBUNTU as my OS, but i cannot het it to connect to the network, do i need to complete disable the iLO 5 port,? i have four other port NIC port neither connection are going through. cant ping my gateway, ....any urgent advice?

Could you please advise is there any type of GPU which is compatible with HP Proliant DL180 Gen10?
I know it must be installed at CPU2 x16/x8 PCIe Riser and GPU according to its name, but I see no info about supported cards in quickspecs.
We have some NVIDIA Quadro P5000 and NVIDIA Quadro K2000. So I wonder if these both or any others are compatible.

I have HPE Proliant DL20 Gen9 server . It supports only Shared Port for iLO and MGMT configuration.
Wanted to configure iLO ip addres to different vlan than the MGMT .
I see that option only after loggin to iLO UI , is there an option we can do it via BIOS (f9) ilo Configuration itself.
Please share a link or document if any options available .

I have a pair of DL380 Gen9 servers. I had a power failure (UPS testing). One of the servers came up. The other did not. When I push the power button it blinks green. The manual says

Hi, I have two kinds of question as below;
1. Tried to check the temperature, there have GPU 1 and GPU4 sensor in IO board, there is temperature is about 78 celsius. I think it is abnormal status because it doesn't working anything only power up status.
What is problem in this case? I searched any firmware of it but I couldn't find.
If 78 celsius is really correct, it should feel very hot when it touched to the GPU core but it doen't.
2. I tried to memory test diagnostics self but it doesn't working correctly. I tested memory to the other server and it tested as well but have problem memory diagnostic problem in ML110 Gen10.
Do you know what is the problem?

We had two drives fail in an Array.
We only swapped one out at first to see what that would do - after an hour it is now online, so we added the second one. I can see an error message suggesting I need to upgrade the firmware on the second drive.
I hadn't been able load ACU to see the progress and because the iLO version was outdated so I upgraded that to see if it would improve the available information.
The newer version of iLO has a shinier and brighter interface, but I can't find any firmware that will successfully update anything.
So can I update the ACU from the iLo - if so which file do i need?
How do I upgrade the firmwarre on the replacement drive or is that a red herring?

Hey I picked up a bunch of old servers from IT pulls. I ended up with 4 DL585 G2 a g5 and 2 g7's. (and a tod of 1u servers - 40 of them)
None had HDD in them...
AS I am still learning and playing to expand my knowledge - this is purely for fun at home... I'll end up donating them to local high school tech classes more than likely.
I installed Win10 on a couple 72GB drives I had put into RAID and I installed 4x 146GB for learning... the 4 drives are in mixed array to show as one 300GB drive... kinda fun at this point just learning...
What I am looking for is the drivers for Win 10... seeing non in HPE support (all are 2008 or 2012 server and do not work with Win 10) I am searching for days looking for these network controller drivers.. .everything else (basic) seems to work fine...
Any ideas appreciated.
Looking for Base System Control drivers, Ethernet Controllers (x8 on this machine) and the Fiber controller drivers.
If I cannot get it for Win 10 I may just install debian or centos on it and use hypervisor like proxmox kde or something to crate VM for Win10... just playing and looking for ideas to get those network interfaces working... using my old rasPi 10/100 usb button dongle right now and its slow as molassas.

i downloaded the new SPP 2020.09 as zip file, transfered it to my mashine (ProLiant DL560 G10) and executed the following command:
./smartupdate --s --target localhost --romonly
The firmware was installed successfully but after a while the system was no longer responding via network. I have to login on ILO and connect via VSP the the mashine so i can execute 'systemctl restart network' to let the mashine become accessable over LAN again. After that i noticed that the firmware version of the nics was newer than before:

What happend here? Why does the firmware of the nics update within the script progress? This is very bad for updating our machines because the firmware should only update at the next (scheduled) reboot. That was the former behaviour with HP SUM version 8.5.0.

DL380 gen 7 os install error.
I am using 4 hdds, and each raid 0 is being configured. When raid is not configured, the hard disk is not displayed during os installation, so all of them are configured as raid 0.
The problem is, the raid configuration was configured with raid 0 of each hard, and the error details are as follows, This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk.
Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's bios menu.
Installation fails with this error window. I'm trying to set up AHCI and hard controller, but I don't see where the hell are setting up.
Or, if you have any other solutions to try, please help.

I have a HPE proliant ML110 G9 server.
When turned on, the screen is fixed to the hpe load image after boot.
Error code 270 - iLO fw communication inssue - unable to communicate with iLO FW. Certain management functionality is not available.One of the most frustrating things I've found when working with HPE products is trying to find the latest version of a particular software (BIOS, IP, etc.). Is there a place that I can go and put in like a DL380 Gen9 and get a list of current software?
We have a BL460c Gen9 (2 CPUs) with the P721M controller the mezzanine slot. It currently runs firmware 6.68 is seen fine by the Smart Storage Administrator (though it sees no SAS disks or SAS D2700 chassis that are connected)
I am trying to update to firmware 8.32(C) however everytime the firmware updater is run it just times out and never updates the firmware. It also locks up the controller so that I have to hard reset the blade to attempt another update. All Smart Array drivers and tools are installed and everything in device manager is showing online.
I have tried updating the firmware using Windows, Linux and the Service Pack ISO but the same error occurs every time.

DL, SL series is rack type so mostly it uses in server room but how about ML series?

Hope you have to try this at home guys! especially, the server air cooling design team.
So to reduce the painful of fan noise issues, you can give to the users can control the maxmimum fan speed in iLO with responsiblity(like warning message) to use them.
There have so many issued about fan noises issue made by temperature sensors abnomal measured.
it so tired to update the firmwares to fix the patches.
Look at yourself how many firmwares updated.
Please give to control the fan maximum speed with responsibility.
Users also no need to fight back with fan noises and happy with it.

Hi, I have just bought a HPE Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 530SFP+ to add it in my DL60 G9.
On The ILO > System Information > Device Inventory, the NIC Card is in UNKNOWN status and UNKNOWN location.
The card does not appears in ILO > System Information > NIC Information.
My esxi 7.0 doesn't list the nic card on the hardware list.
I plugged in the PCIe GEN3 x16 N°1 (low profile).
There is 3 orange led light . When I plug Juniper SFP+ 10GB SR on port, the D1401 light shut down.
When I plug Juniper SFP+ 10GB SR on port 2, the D1402 light shut down.
But there is still a little orange light on board (D1404). Does it means there is a problem?
Do I need th plug the nic card on others PCIe 8x instead 16x?
